Our Company

Established in 1987 by David Donaldson, the company has grown steadily over the years to operate nationally from offices in Uttoxeter (head office), Glasgow, York, Derby and London, currently employing approximately 120 staff. In addition, many commissions have been undertaken internationally. From its origins in the tunnelling industry, the company has diversified into a medium sized consultancy providing a variety of services and operating in many different sectors.

Donaldson Associates is a specialist firm with in depth experience in civil, structural and geotechnical engineering including the development of underground space and infrastructure. We are recognised as a centre of excellence and by utilising the extensive experience of our senior staff on all projects, we ensure that clients get the benefit of the depth of experience held within the firm. Our philosophy of getting it ‘right first time’ in tandem with producing alternative designs to ensure safe, economic and sustainable solutions has firmly established Donaldsons as a leader in its field.
