West Browncastle Wind Farm

Falck Renewables is developing a 12 turbine site just south of Whitelee Wind Farm, on Eaglesham Moor (one of our first wind farm projects).

This Glasgow project sees a new contractual arrangement whereby Nordex Energy, the turbine supplier have engaged I+H Brown to provide design, civils and infrastructure and act as Principal Contractor under an Engineer, Procure and Construct contract.

Donaldson Associates are the contractor’s designer. We will design the foundations, a 32kv sub-station and control building and a number of water crossings/culverts.  The peat conditions of this highland area will draw on our strengths and although we are initially working on gravity foundations, some piled foundations may be recommended.
