British Tunnelling Society Chairman

Damain McGirr, our Chief Tunnel Engineer has been appointed Chairman of the British Tunnelling Society (BTS).

The formalities were completed at the Society's AGM on 17th May at One Great George Street, London.

Damian succeeds Bob Ibell and is keen to promote tunnelling in the UK as a safe, cost effective and sustainable method of developing our infrastructure.  He also wants to continue developing ways to attract young people into the industry.
